How the board and support work
A 4×4 board is drawn uniformly from all configurations that satisfy the public support rule for the selected mine count. The constraint ensures no 2×2 subgrid contains exactly three mines. This defines a finite support set. Each safe reveal filters the support, reducing the number of compatible boards.
Scoring and payout calculation
After each safe reveal, the gross cashout quote is calculated as: 0.96 × captured stake × initial support size / current compatible support size. The quote reflects the shrinking support. If a reveal would exceed the 1000× stake cap, it is disabled. When no eligible reveal remains, the current quote is automatically banked. A mine ends the round with zero gross return.
Controls and modes
The board is four-by-four. Mine count choices are limited to the exact nonempty support configurations defined in the source. Captured stake and mine count are locked during a round. Manual bank becomes available only after at least one safe reveal. There is no auto queue. Sound remains available throughout.
Wallet refill and persistence
When idle and the balance is below 10, a manual refill sets the integer wallet to exactly 1000. This is a manual set, not automatic replenishment. Fractional carry persists across settlement, refill, and reload. Settled balance persists locally, including zero. If an unfinished round ends on reload, it ends without refund or resume. There is no account login or payment flow in the demo.
Storage and privacy observations
The demo uses browser localStorage for the settled balance and fractional carry. This does not establish anonymity or confirm that no other personal data is processed. The template declares a Google Fonts stylesheet; actual request capture is pending. No third-party processing claims are made beyond this observation.
Audience and responsible use
This guide targets an 18+ audience as a policy, not a legal age gate or local legality statement. The demo uses virtual coins with no cash value. Responsible-use pages may describe optional pauses, personal time or virtual-coin limits, and finding local qualified help. The demo does not clinically train behavior or make losses safe.
Frequently asked questions
What is the support rule for No Three Square?
No contiguous two-by-two square has exactly three mines. The board is drawn uniformly from all boards satisfying this rule for the selected mine count.
How is the gross cashout calculated?
Gross quote = 0.96 × captured stake × initial support size / current compatible support size. The quote updates after each safe reveal.
When is manual bank available?
Manual bank becomes available only after at least one safe reveal. It is not available immediately at start.
What happens if a reveal exceeds the 1000× cap?
Cells whose safe quote would exceed 1000 times stake are disabled. The cap guard disables individual above-1000x transitions before a reveal.
How does the wallet refill work?
When idle and balance is below 10, manual refill sets the integer wallet to exactly 1000. It does not add coins; it sets the balance. Fractional carry is preserved.
Does fractional carry persist across reloads?
Yes. Fractional carry persists across settlement, refill, and reload.
What happens if I reload during an unfinished round?
The round ends without refund or resume. Settled balance persists, but unfinished progress does not.
Is there an account login in the demo?
No. The demo has no account login flow. It uses local storage for balance and carry.
Are virtual coins redeemable for cash?
No. Virtual coins have no cash value in this demo.
Does the demo use external tracking?
The template declares a Google Fonts stylesheet. Actual request capture is pending. No other third-party processing is confirmed.
What is the intended audience age?
18+ is the guide's own audience policy, not a universal legal age or implemented gate.
Can I play responsibly in the demo?
You can set personal time or virtual-coin limits. Find appropriate local qualified help if needed. The demo does not guarantee safe loss behavior.
